Modeling Chocolate

Okay, I know that the title of this post is probably self evident, but today I am posting about Modeling chocolate! Today I only had a half day at school due to exams and I was really board when I got home. Yah, I know that I probably should have been studying, but ever since I took Laura Kitchen's course on modeling chocolate and Jessica Harris's course on cake design, I have wanted to try it out. So out came the chocolate wafers and corn syrup. For anybody who doesn't know, modeling chocolate is chocolate that has been seized and set. I use corn syrup to seize mine, but you can also use glucose, another sugary syrup like substance :) I went online ad found some examples of cakes made with modeling chocolate:

roses and

stripes and bows and

Moustaches!!?! Lauren Kitchens' cakes are amazing, though......

I meant, look ate that!

Incredible!!!!

I hope you guys enjoyed this! Happy caking, and keep on reading!
